Covid19 measures

The meeting rooms are bookable for everyone.

Please be aware of the general Covid19 measures of the Kalkbreite Cooperative

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our cafeteria is closed. We kindly ask our visitors* to organize their own coffee, drinks, cups and food.

 

Is there WLAN?

WLAN is available free of charge in all rooms. The network “Kalkbreite” requires no password. This network also works very well for video conferencing.

If a stronger network is needed, the more powerful closed network “Kalkbreite Flex” is available. The password can be found in the booked room.

Where are the Flex rooms?

The big staircase between Bar Felix and Café Bebek (on the east side of the building) leads to the courtyard. To the right is the main entrance of Kalkbreitestrasse 6. One in the hall, the reception desk is to the right is the desk, where we are there for you during opening hours. Go left through the corridor and straight ahead through another door to find the flex meeting rooms, which are numbered at the top of the doorframes.

Rooms are also accessible through the entrance of Kalkbreitestrasse 8. You can take the elevator (floor 2A) to the courtyard.

How do I arrive by public transport?

Kalkbreite is a car-free settlement, and we are happy if our guests arrive via public transportation. The stop “Kalkbreite/Bhf. Wiedikon” is directly in front of the building and can be reached by trams 2 and 3 or bus 32. Wiedikon train station is a five-minute walk away. Go to Kalkbreitestrasse 6 (entrance in the courtyard) and follow the descriptions under “Where can I find the flex meeting rooms?”.

 

What does a booking include?

Renters are responsible for booking enough time for set-up and cleanup. We explicitly offer the meeting rooms at a low price. Rooms include standard furnishing. All other requests are chargeable or are to be taken care of by the renters themselves. Caterings can be booked, for example, at CaféBebek, SimplySoup or WeeraPura in the building.

 

What is available in the Flex meeting rooms?

The rooms include standard furnishing with 1-4 tables and 2-12 chairs, depending on the room size. Each room has a flipchart with pens in four colors, a wastebasket and 20 magnets, which can be used on the magnetic wall. All rooms have a balcony or access to the courtyard. Projectors, presentation kits, pin boards or additional flipcharts must be reserved in advance, no later than the previous working day of your reservation. Otherwise, additional services cannot be guaranteed. Each room has hand sanitizer, table cleaning supplies and a small broom and dustpan.

 

Where can I get the room key / access code?

We have replaced keys with a code system. Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation with your booking number. The code is the last 6 digits before the hyphen. Simply enter the 6-digit code to open the door.

 

What do I have to consider when entering the code?

Next to the door you will find the e-reader (small black box). Enter the code, the last 6 digits before the hyphen. You will find this number in your booking confirmation, which you should receive from admin@wy.by after successfully booking. Simply enter the 6-digit code to open the door – no further characters are necessary. The code is valid for the duration of your reservation. Please do not leave anything in the room and always have the code with you. When leaving the room, during use, the door will lock automatically. Re-enter the code to open the room again.

How long is the code for the door valid?

The code is valid for the duration of your reservation. Please do not leave anything in the room and always have the code with you. Setup and cleanup time must also be booked. When leaving the room, during your booking time, doors will automatically lock and the code must be entered again to get back in.

How do I get back to the Flex rooms after 8:00 p.m?

If you leave the building after 8:00 p.m., you can only get back in at Flex 2, behind the cafeteria. There you will also find the e-reader (small black box) for entering your code.

Will my room be furnished?

Each room includes basic equipment and standard furnishings. Rooms can be rearranged at will to suit your activity but at the end of use, please leave rooms as found. All other services/supplies are subject to a fee and must be requested in advance or be taken care of by the renters themselves. Please remember to book enough time for setting up and cleaning up.

 

Where do I dispose of my waste?

There is a garbage can in each room where you can dispose of basic waste. PET bottles, paper, glass bottles and more – we ask you to take with you and dispose of it offsite.

Is it allowed to eat & drink in the rooms?

Eating and drinking is allowed. Checking out, rooms must be left clean and as you found them. Table cleaning supplies and a small broom and dustpan are available. Please dispose of large quantities of trash and recyclables offsite.

Can I book a room at short notice?

Bookings are possible at very short notice up to 15 minutes on our booking platform. Services such as projectors or additional flipcharts must be booked the day before by 6:00 p.m.

Can I cancel a reservation

Cancellations can be made up to 5 days before the start of the event of free of charge. Cancellation under 5 days from the start of the event will be charged in full. Cancellations can be made online on the booking platform under “My bookings”.

 

Is it possible to arrive by car and where can I park?

Kalkbreite is a car-free settlement, and we ask you to arrive by public transport whenever possible. We are very centrally located. There are a few parking spaces available in a private parking garage nearby, which can be booked in advance by email. The parking costs 15 CHF per night (15:00 on arrival day until 13:00 on departure day). You will receive more information with your booking.

When is someone from the staff onsite?

The reception is open Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 19:00. We are also available by phone in the morning from 08:00 – 11:00 and throughout the day via email at: info@flex-kalkbreite.ch.

Can I also spontaneously book a projector on site?

Services must always be requested at the time of booking. Equipment such as projectors can be rented spontaneously, subject to availability and only during our opening hours.

 

Who can I contact for questions outside reception opening hours?

Please contact us by email to info@flex-kalkbreite.ch. We will get back to you as soon as possible. In the morning from 08:00 – 11:00 we are also available by phone at 044 295 94 92. The reception is open Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 19:00. These times may vary, please refer to the Covid19 Measures section.
